Smart Sale Lab Pty Ltd ("Smart Sale Lab", "we", "us", or "our") builds CartBoost and operates the website at smartsalelabs.com. We keep what we collect to a minimum and we explain it in plain English below. This policy covers our marketing website and the information you share with us directly. The data CartBoost processes inside your Shopify store is governed by the permissions you grant when you install the app.

What we collect

We collect only two kinds of information through this website:

• Basic analytics. When you visit smartsalelabs.com, Google Analytics 4 records anonymised, aggregate usage data - pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. We do not use this to identify you personally.
• Email addresses you give us. If you submit your email through our free shipping threshold calculator, our newsletter, or by writing to us, we store that address so we can send the result, reply to you, or share occasional updates you have opted into.

How we use it

We use the limited information we collect to:

• understand how the website is used so we can improve it;
• send the calculator results, replies, or newsletters you have requested;
• respond to your questions and support requests; and
• keep the site secure and working as intended.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies or similar identifiers to measure site usage in aggregate. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you opt out of analytics entirely. Doing so will not stop you from using the site.

Third parties we rely on

We share information only with the trusted service providers we need to run the business, and only for the purposes described above:

• Google. Provides the analytics that measure website usage.
• Our email provider. Stores and delivers the emails and newsletters you have opted into.
• Shopify. Hosts the CartBoost app and the store data you authorise when you install it.

Each of these providers maintains its own privacy and security practices. We choose providers that treat your data with care.

How long we keep it

We keep email addresses for as long as you remain subscribed or until you ask us to remove them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your choices and data requests

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe from our emails at any time. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us directly. We will respond to genuine requests within a reasonable time.

Children

Our website and CartBoost are built for business owners and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our products and obligations evolve. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
